La Tricoterie ran 4 workshops from April 2024 to June 2024
During the first two workshops, on 10 April 2024 and 28 April 2024, we welcomed participants to La Tricoterie’s Attic and to KosmoStudio to learn more about their relationship with housing, using maps of Saint-Gilles to colour in, indicating
‘the green space closest to my home
‘the place where I go most often
‘Where I live
‘my favourite places
‘the places I don’t/never go to’.
The participants played the game and drew their lifestyle habits on the map. The second stage of the workshop was to answer aloud and recorded a number of questions relating to housing. We then held a third workshop on theatrical improvisation on 27 May 2024. The concept was to bring together people who didn’t know each other for a three-hour workshop followed by a theatrical performance.
For the final workshop on 01 June 2024, we went directly to meet the residents at the annual Bethlehem festival.We recorded five new stories, each more enriching than the last, enabling us to create and imagine the theatrical production for April 2025.
